{"id":19506,"date":"2019-11-01T10:08:40","date_gmt":"2019-11-01T14:08:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/quantum.esu.edu\/insider\/?p=19506"},"modified":"2019-11-01T10:08:40","modified_gmt":"2019-11-01T14:08:40","slug":"troiani-sweeney-endowed-fund-lecture-series-held-at-esu-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/quantum.esu.edu\/insider\/troiani-sweeney-endowed-fund-lecture-series-held-at-esu-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Troiani-Sweeney Endowed Fund Lecture Series Held at ESU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Troiani-Sweeney Endowed Fund Lecture Series at ESU was held in the Niedbala Auditorium on Thursday, October 31. <\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s keynote address by Brad Hyman, M.D., Ph.D., was titled \u201cUpdates on Alzheimer\u2019s Disease.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now in its sixth year, the Troiani-Sweeney Endowed Fund Lecture Series at ESU was developed by graduates Linda (Troiani)\u201983 and Sam Niedbala \u201982 to honor Linda\u2019s sister, Yvonne Troiani Sweeney\u201978.<\/p>\n<p>Yvonne is a 1978 graduate of ESU who dedicated her life to her nursing career that spanned 30 years until she was diagnosed with a form of early onset dementia called posterior cortical atrophy.<\/p>\n<p><em>Pictured, front row, from left to right: Yvonne Troiani Sweeney \u201978 and Brad Hyman, M.D., Ph.D.  Second row, left to right: ESU President Marcia G.
