{"id":20631,"date":"2021-02-18T12:15:59","date_gmt":"2021-02-18T17:15:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/quantum.esu.edu\/insider\/?p=20631"},"modified":"2021-02-19T10:03:06","modified_gmt":"2021-02-19T15:03:06","slug":"esu-named-to-victory-medias-2021-2022-military-friendly-schools-designation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/quantum.esu.edu\/insider\/esu-named-to-victory-medias-2021-2022-military-friendly-schools-designation\/","title":{"rendered":"ESU Named to Victory Media\u2019s 2021-2022 Military Friendly\u00ae Schools Designation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>East Stroudsburg University announced today that it has earned the 2021-2022 Military Friendly\u00ae School designation.<\/p>\n<p>Institutions earning the Military Friendly\u00ae School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Over 1,200 schools participated in the 2021-2022 survey with 747 earning the designation.<\/p>\n<p>The 2021-2022 Military Friendly\u00ae Schools list will be published in the May issue of G.I. Jobs magazine and can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.militaryfriendly.com\">www.militaryfriendly.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly\u00ae Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution\u2019s survey response set and government\/agency public data sources, within a logic based scoring assessment. We measure the institution\u2019s ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer) and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.<\/p>\n<p>June Pepe, assistant director of veterans services is proud of the support ESU offers to student veterans. \u201cServices include everything from educational needs such as help with obtaining scholarship and grants to bringing in guest speakers and providing a safe space for people to share similar life experiences,\u201d Pepe said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMilitary Friendly\u00ae is committed to transparency and providing consistent data driven standards in our designation process. This creates a competitive atmosphere that encourages colleges to consistently evolve and invest in their programs. Schools who achieve designation show true commitment and dedication in their efforts.
