East Stroudsburg University\u2019s Madelon Powers Gallery will present a virtual panel discussion, \u201cLiving with Worlds\u2026As They End\u201d on April 7 at 4 p.m. to accompany the virtual exhibition that is currently on view through the gallery\u2019s website.<\/p>\n
The \u201cLiving With Worlds\u2026As They End\u201d folio project began as an experiment in co-creation among artists and writers. It was intended to be a conversation across creative disciplines, locations, and time as the group hoped to explore the impact of global warming.<\/p>\n
The artists and writers will come together for a virtual discussion about their project. \u201cWe could not have known at the start of the experiment that the conceit of this project would find new meaning during the COVID-19 pandemic,\u201d said Darlene Farris-LaBar, professor and chair of the art + design department at ESU and a contributor to the project.<\/p>\n
The panel moderated by Patricia Watts, founder of ecoartspace, will include Gabrielle Russomango, photography faculty, School of the Visual Arts; Deana Day, writer and historian; Nancy Campbell, poet and non-fiction writer (Library of Ice); Britt Dahlberg, anthropologist and director of research, Center for Humanism; Yvonne Love, professor of art, Penn State University; and Farris-LaBar.<\/p>\n
