After giving a presentation to his classmates about living with Autism to help him connect with his peers, he decided to take his presentation to a larger audience. On April 16, DelGrosso will share his story \u201cAutism \u2013 A Look Inside My Superpower\u201d at East Stroudsburg University as a part of a conference titled \u201cThrough Their Eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In its 22nd year, the conference hosts speakers who have overcome attitudinal, physical or cultural barriers. Joining DelGrosso will be Danielle Koehler, whose presentation is entitled \u201cMy Journey Towards Self-Discovery,\u201d Bekah Grace whose presentation is \u201cRemoving the Stigma Surrounding Mental Illness,\u201d and Bernard Carabello, presenting \u201cHis Story\u201d about the 18 years he spent as a resident of Willowbrook State School.<\/p>\n<p>The conference, which will be held virtually from 9 a.m. \u2013 1 p.m., aims to give those in attendance a personal perspective from people with disabilities that is unique, according to Domenico Cavaiuolo, Ph.D., professor of special education and rehabilitation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is intended to provide the audience with an understanding that people with disabilities can accomplish great things despite their challenges,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The conference is open to the public and it is free of charge.
