Patrick Ross ’67, chair of ESU’s Council of Trustees. “The Trustees truly understand that we need to do all we can to remove obstacles that may stand in the way of student success.”

According to ESU Interim President Kenneth Long, the auxiliary fees include services such as campus housing, meal plans, parking, health services, recreation center membership, shuttle services, and student activities. Auxiliary fees represent approximately 18 percent of the University’s overall budget and provide the necessary resources to support cocurricular activities and other venues students have come to expect at a comprehensive public university. These decisions by the Board of Governors and Council of Trustees, coupled with ESU’s Warrior Promise, provide ESU students and their families with a greater level of certainty of the cost of their education. Instituted in 2016, the Warrior Promise guarantees undergraduate tuition will not change for four years. Undergraduate Tuition at ESU for the 2021-2022 academic year is set at $8,288.

“This decision will definitely place a financial burden back on ESU, but we know it’s the right thing to do for our students,” said Interim President Long. “We are grateful that our Council of Trustees recognizes the hardships that many students are facing, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020. We all want to maximize the access to higher education so that everyone has an opportunity to pursue their dreams and be prepared for this rapidly changing global society.”

More information on admission to East Stroudsburg University for the 2021-22 academic year may be found at esu.edu/admissions.

Undergraduate students at East Stroudsburg University will not see any increase in tuition or fees for the 2021-2022 academic year.

[143,42

post-20887","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-community","category-news-release
