From that moment on, he said, \u201cI knew my dream was to advocate for autism awareness, taking awareness into action.\u201d On April 19, Hartranft will share his story \u201cOne Kind Person Can Change the World\u201d at East Stroudsburg University as a part of a conference titled \u201cThrough Their Eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In its 23<sup>rd<\/sup> year, the conference hosts speakers who have overcome attitudinal, physical or cultural barriers. Joining Hartranft will be Trey DelGrosso, whose presentation is entitled \u201cAutism \u2013 A Look Inside My Superpower\u201d and Miles Forma whose presentation is \u201cMy Journey to Inspire and Educate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The conference, which will be held at East Stroudsburg University\u2019s Innovation Center from 9 a.m. \u2013 1 p.m., aims to give those in attendance a personal perspective from people with disabilities that is unique, according to Domenico Cavaiuolo, Ph.D., professor of special education and rehabilitation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is intended to provide the audience with an understanding that people with disabilities can accomplish great things despite their challenges,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The conference is open to the public and it is free of charge.
