Alena Schneider, a senior at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania majoring in fine arts with a concentration in musical performance: piano, will present a piano recital Thursday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. The program will be held in the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall in the university\u2019s Fine & Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets, East Stroudsburg.<\/p>\n
The concert, which is sponsored by the Department of Music, is open to the public at no cost. No tickets are necessary.<\/p>\n
The program includes Mozart\u2019s Piano Sonata No. 12 in F major K 332<\/em> and works by Chopin, von Weber, Debussy and Schubert.<\/p>\n Schneider is a piano student of Dr. Betsy Buzzelli-Clarke, associate professor of music and chair of the department. At ESU, Schneider has performed in several student piano recitals.<\/p>\n A daughter of Sharon and Larry Schneider, she lives in Buck Hill Falls and is a graduate of Pocono Mountain East High School.
