Cohen Recital Hall of the Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets, East Stroudsburg. The performance is open to the public at no cost.<\/p>\n<p>Pianist Ruth Kochera, bass-baritone Charles Unice, countertenor Patrick Fennig, and the Penn Strings Quartet, will be assisting Maroney at the recital.<\/p>\n<p>The program will include duets by Felix Mendelssohn; \u201cCanticle II\u201d by Benjamin Britten; the opening of Act IV of \u201cLa Boh\u00e8me\u201d by Giacomo Puccini; \u201cOn Wenlock Edge\u201d by Ralph Vaughan Williams; and four lighthearted songs by American composers Aaron Copland, Edward Diemente, Charles Ives, and Jerry Bock.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Maroney is an associate professor of music at ESU, where he serves as director of choral and vocal activities.\u00a0 He has performed throughout the eastern United States in recital, oratorio, and opera.<\/p>\n<p>As a recent grant recipient of the prestigious President\u2019s Research Fund, Maroney<br \/>\ngave lecture-recital performances of major song cycles.
