The College of Business and Management (COBM) at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania will celebrate its fifth anniversary on Saturday, October 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., during the university\u2019s homecoming tailgate event at Henry A. Ahnert, Jr. Alumni Center. All graduates of ESU\u2019s COBM and their families are invited to attend at no cost.<\/p>\n
ESU\u2019s College of Business, Management and Economics was founded in 2007 and was comprised of the departments of business management; hotel, restaurant and tourism management; recreation and leisure services management; economics, and sport management. The primary purpose of implementing the COBME was to strategically enhance the educational preparation and opportunities for students in respective professional fields.<\/p>\n
In the fall of 2008, the department of economics returned to the College of Arts and Sciences. In 2009, the department of leadership studies and military science was added.<\/p>\n
Saturday\u2019s anniversary celebration will enable COBM graduates and prospective students to meet faculty and current students majoring in COBM programs.\u00a0 Refreshments and prizes will be available for those who attend.
