East Stroudsburg University\u2019s University Singers will present a Winter Vocal Jazz Concert\u00a0 Sunday, December 2 at 7 p.m. at the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall at the University\u2019s Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets, East Stroudsburg.<\/p>\n
The concert, sponsored by the Department of Music, is open to the public at no cost, however donations to Vocal Performing Arts will be accepted.<\/p>\n
Guest jazz pianist Wolfgang Knittel will join several student soloists on standards such as “Stardust,”\u00a0 \u201cSomeone to Watch Over Me,\u201d and \u201cOur Love is Here to Stay.\u201d<\/p>\n
Other highlights include:\u00a0 “Take the \u2018A\u2019 Train,”I’ve Got You Under my Skin,” “Take Five,\u201d and Billy Joel\u2019s “Lullabye.”<\/p>\n
The University Singers are a medium-sized select ensemble of mixed voices that focus on popular, folk, and Broadway show music.\u00a0 Dr. James Maroney, associate professor of music, directs the group.<\/p>\n
