Two doctoral degrees, with a concentration in administration and leadership studies, will be awarded during winter commencement exercises at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania on Friday, December 14 at 7:00 p.m. in Koehler Fieldhouse. Nancy Jo Greenawalt of Stroudsburg, Pa., and Kerri Ann Ruck of Roseto, Pa., earned their degrees through the ESU and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) collaborative doctoral degree program.<\/p>\n
Ms. Greenawalt, the academic coordinator for Intercollegiate Athetics at East Stroudsburg University, wrote her doctoral dissertation on the topic \u201cModern Sexism and Preference for a Coach among Select National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I Female Athletes: A Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis.\u201d\u00a0 She earned a master of science degree in physical education in 1981 from Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Albright College in Reading, Pa., in 1978.<\/p>\n
Ms. Ruck, an assistant principal at the Stroudsburg Senior High School in Stroudsburg, Pa., wrote her doctoral dissertation on the topic \u201cA Descriptive Study of Pedagogical Characteristics of Online versus Face-to-face Teaching Methods in a Secondary Blended Learning Environment.\u201d\u00a0 She earned a master\u2019s degree in education 2006 and a bachelor of science degree in Media, Communications and Technology from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2006 and 1999 respectively.<\/p>\n
