East Stroudsburg University invites the general public to attend a sky show, titled \u201cLong Winter Nights\u201d and a feature show, \u201cBlack Holes,\u201d at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013. The shows will be held in the McMunn Planetarium in the Warren E. ’55 and Sandra Hoeffner Science and Technology Center.<\/p>\n
\u201cLong Winter Nights\u201d describes what can be seen in the heavens during the winter months. \u00a0The feature show, \u201cBlack Holes,\u201d explores the dark world of a black hole and its life in space.<\/p>\n
The program is open to the general public at no cost, but reservations are required due to limited seating. Reservations will be taken online starting at 8 a.m., February 11, on a first-come, first-served basis at www.esu.edu\/planetarium<\/a>. Another planetarium show is scheduled for April 5, 2013 as ESU celebrates the inauguration of Marcia G. Welsh, Ph.D., the college\u2019s president, during the week of April 1-6, 2013. Reservations for the April 5 planetarium event will be taken the Monday prior to the show. Those interested in attending planetarium events may reserve up to four seats for a specific show.
