Music spanning many centuries and songs in other languages will be featured at the East Stroudsburg University\u2019s Spring Choral Concert Wednesday, May 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall of the Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets, East Stroudsburg.<\/p>\n

Selections to be presented by the A Cappella Ensemble include: “Locus Iste” by Anton Bruckner; “Johnny Has Gone For a Soldier;” “Daemon Irrepit Callidus” by Gyorgy Orban; and “My Lord Has Come\u201d by Will Todd.<\/p>\n

The Concert Choir will perform “Make Our Garden Grow\u201d by Leonard Bernstein; “Crucifixus” by J.S. Bach; “Anthony O\u2019Daly\u201d by Samuel Barber; “Hard Times Come Again No More\u201d by Stephen Foster; \u201cPast Life Melodies\u201d by Sarah Hopkins and other selections.\u00a0 Both groups are under the direction of James Maroney, Ed.D., associate professor of music.<\/p>\n

The concert, sponsored by the Department of Music, is open to the public at no cost.<\/p>\n
