{"id":7024,"date":"2013-09-13T09:57:05","date_gmt":"2013-09-13T13:57:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/quantumnew.esu.edu\/insider\/?p=7024"},"modified":"2013-09-13T09:57:05","modified_gmt":"2013-09-13T13:57:05","slug":"esu-students-faculty-staff-participate-in-monroe-countys-day-of-caring-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/quantum.esu.edu\/insider\/esu-students-faculty-staff-participate-in-monroe-countys-day-of-caring-2\/","title":{"rendered":"ESU Students, Faculty, Staff Participate in Monroe County\u2019s Day of Caring"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More than 20\u00a0East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) faculty and staff members participated in the 2013 Day of Caring sponsored by the United Way of Monroe County, held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at four locations in the Poconos.\u00a0Day of Caring is a one-day event for volunteers to provide hands-on service to the United Way, its\u00a0partner agencies, and other local nonprofits.\u00a0 Helping out at the Garden of Giving in Saylorsburg were, from left: Jan Hoffman, career development center; Alyson Patascher, alcohol and other drugs prevention services; Bob Moses and Tammy Baumgardner, residence life and housing; Joann Stryker, institutional research and assessment; Joanne Eagleson, human resource management; Cornelia Sewell-Allen, multicultural affairs; Sarah Goodrich, conference services; Robert McMullin, Ph.D., hotel, restaurant, and tourism management; and Kelly McKenzie, Ph.D. and Jessica Santiago, academic enrichment and learning.\u00a0 The Garden of Giving is committed to providing high quality vegetables and eggs for Monroe County food bank facilities.
