Nearly two dozen students from East Stroudsburg University\u2019s Psychology Department were recently inducted into the ESU chapter of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in psychology.<\/p>\n
On May 7, undergrads were honored in the Niedbala Auditorium of the Warren E. \u201955 and Sandra Hoeffner Science and Technology Center.<\/p>\n
Psi Chi, which has more than 600,000 members, is the world\u2019s largest student psychological organization. It strives to promote excellence in scholarship and to advance the science of psychology. The ESU Chapter of Psi Chi, founded in 1980, sponsors many educational, charitable and civic programs, which are of value to the professional discipline as well as the local community.<\/p>\n
Undergraduate psychology students inducted were:\u00a0 Irene Allen, a sophomore from Manhattan, N.Y.; Marshay Anderson, a junior from Philadelphia; Kaitlin Blum, a senior from Hershey; Katie Carbrey, a senior from Gilbert; Lyesha Fleming, a senior from Philadelphia; Najiyah Francois, a senior from Brooklyn, N.Y.; Joseph Fresco, a senior from New Hope, Pa.; Angelica Michael, a senior from Milford; Hayley Miller, a senior from West Milford, N.J.; Rebecca Rizzolo, a senior from Easton; Kyle Strobel, a senior from Port Reading, N.J.; Caitlin Toleno, a senior from East Stroudsburg; Brittany Waguespack, a junior from Hackettstown, N.J.; and Vanessa Williams, a senior from Stroudsburg.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Joseph LaTassa, a senior communication studies and psychology double major from Hellertown, was inducted.<\/p>\n
Others who were inducted and recently graduated with psychology degrees were: Alison Gimbi, from Hazleton; Colin Kelly, from Williamsport; and Kayshia Kruger from Susquehanna Depot.<\/p>\n
