East Stroudsburg University invites the general public to attend a sky show titled \u201cLong Winter Nights\u201d and a feature show, \u201cOasis in Space,\u201d at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday, December 6. The shows will be in the McMunn Planetarium in the Warren E. ’55 and Sandra Hoeffner Science and Technology Center.<\/p>\n
\u201cLong Winter Nights\u201d describes what can be seen in the heavens during the winter months.\u00a0The feature show, \u201cOasis in Space,” describes mankind’s current knowledge of the universe and solar system and the search for water and possible life on other planets.<\/p>\n
The program is open to the general public at no cost, but reservations are required due to limited seating. Reservations will be taken online at www.esu.edu\/planetarium<\/a><\/p>\n Those interested in attending planetarium events may reserve up to four seats for a specific show. Programs are suitable for children but be advised that the planetarium will be quite dark during the sky show and feature show.<\/p>\n Group inquiries should send an email request to stardomes@esu.edu<\/a>.
