A filled-to-capacity group of prospective employers attended East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania\u2019s Career and Internship Fair on Tuesday, March 4, in the Keystone Room.<\/p>\n
Representatives from 61 companies, many of which were first-time attendees and traveled from a multi-state region, had the chance to introduce themselves to the approximately 375 ESU undergraduate and graduate students at the Career Fair, which was organized in a different fashion this semester. In the past, ESU hosted smaller, targeted career fairs geared toward students\u2019 majors. However, this was the first time one larger event was held.<\/p>\n
\u201cGoing forward, I really like the larger event,\u201d said Daria Wielebinski, director of ESU\u2019s Career Development Center. \u201cIt opens more opportunities for both the employers and the students.\u201d<\/p>\n
The three-hour Career Fair also included lunch for prospective employers, which was covered by their registration fees.<\/p>\n
\u201cA large number of the employers who completed the survey thought the career fair was a great success,\u201d Wielebinski said. \u201cThey praised the large student turnout and the quality of students they spoke to.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
