Randal Pinkett, Ph.D., the Season 4 Winner of the NBC\u2019s reality TV Show \u201cThe Apprentice\u201d with Donald Trump, will visit East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania to be the featured speaker at the 2014 Student Research, Scholarly and Entrepreneurial Activity Symposium <\/i><\/b>on Thursday, April 3. Pinkett\u2019s presentation, The Impact of Student Research on Successful Future Careers<\/i>, will begin at 3 p.m. in the Niedbala Auditorium, Warren E. \u201955 and Sandra Hoeffner Science and Technology Center.<\/p>\n
Pinkett is founder, chairman and CEO of BCT Partners, a multi-million dollar management consulting and information technology solutions firm. He holds five academic degrees including:\u00a0 bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Rutgers University, a master of science in computer science from the University of Oxford in England, master science in electrical engineering, and an MBA and Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is a highly sought after author, scholar and entrepreneur and is frequently invited to speak at corporations, colleges and universities, government agencies and community organizations.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
During the 2014 Student Research, Scholarly and Entrepreneurial Activity Symposium, students showcase and present their individual and collaborative research and entrepreneurial projects. From 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., students will visually display their research in various formats, including with posters, table displays and demonstrations. From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., students will present PowerPoint and Prezi presentations. From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Catherine Flanley, of Hellertown, Pa., winner of ESU\u2019s graduate thesis of the year, will describe her research on tick populations found on New Jersey black bears, followed by ESU students who have embraced innovation and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n
