You must appear in person to make an appointment in order to confirm that you have met the proper graduate and undergraduate requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Groundswell Rising \u2013 Protecting Our Children\u2019s Air and Water, an Environmental Film Presentation, 7:00 PM, Wednesday, April 2, in Stroud Hall, Room 113<\/strong>. With the oil and gas industry\u2019s thurst to expand fracking seen as a moral and civil rights issue, this provocative film documents a people\u2019s movement, a groundswell rising. The director and executive producer will be present to discuss the film and talk about making environmental films and using them to spread awareness and activism. Arguments in favor of the economic and geopolitical advantages of fracking will be provided by Johan Eliasson, Ph.D., professor of political science at ESU and a libertarian. The public is invited at no cost and is encouraged to contribute to the discussion. The scholarship highlights will be Li-Ming Chiang, Ed.D., an assistant professor in the ESU department of movement activities and lifetime fitness, and Yi-hui Huang, Ph.D., an associate professor in the ESU department of digital media technologies. The event, which will be at ESU\u2019s Lehigh Valley Center at 60 W. Broad St., Bethlehem, Pa., invites the public to participate in this fun, enriching and educational experience. Refreshments will be available in the lobby of the Fine Arts Center from 4:00 to 4:30 PM The program will commence in the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall at 4:30 PM and conclude with a ribbon cutting ceremony in front of classroom G3 at 5:40 PM Tours of the facility will follow the ribbon cutting with students available to answer questions and demonstrate the lab equipment. This year\u2019s theme of \u201cIn the Jungle,\u201d is meant to bring the campus and local communities together for a fun, yet productive gathering for students, faculty and staff members and area residents. In order to participate, Student Senate asks that you provide a nominal donation of $20 which will be used for scholarship funding through ESU\u2019s Foundation.
