Those students pictured were inducted into Iota Iota Iota, the Women&#8217;s Studies Honors Fraternity.<\/p>\n<p>East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania\u2019s Women\u2019s Studies Program, Feminist Alliance and Commission for Women held their annual Women\u2019s Recognition Ceremony Thursday, May 1, in the University Center. Awards included the Shirley Chisholm Awards, the Women of Distinction Awards, the naming of the Women\u2019s Studies Annual Scholarship winners and the induction ceremony for those entering the Iota Iota Iota Women\u2019s Studies Honors Society.<\/p>\n<p>Inductees into Iota Iota Iota were Bailey Harman, a senior from Milford, Pa., majoring in social work and sociology; Abdelis Vega, a senior from Renshaw, Pa., majoring in communication studies; Aalih Hussein, a junior from East Stroudsburg, Pa., majoring in social work and sociology; Emily Fox, a senior from Matamoras, Pa., majoring in biology; Reed Milliard, a senior from Jim Thorpe, Pa., majoring in communication studies; Nikole Threats, a senior from Bushkill, Pa., majoring in communication studies; Shannon Buckley, a senior from Allentown, N.J., majoring in psychology; and Efia King, a senior from Philadelphia, Pa., majoring in communication studies.<\/p>\n<p>Laurene Clossey, Ph.D., assistant professor of sociology and co-chair of ESU\u2019s commission for women, presented the Shirley Chisholm Awards to Regina Sayles Kolampralil, a graduate student from Stroudsburg, Pa., seeking a degree in instructional technology; and Molly Carson, a senior from East Stroudsburg, Pa, majoring in social work and sociology.
