East Stroudsburg University is sponsoring a poster contest for the campaign, “What’s Your Anti-Drug” for students in kindergarten through sixth grade.
Alyson Patascher, ESU’s health education and ATOD (alcohol, tobacco and other drugs) prevention coordinator, is organizing the competition. Patascher, who got ESU involved in the contest last year for the first time, will have between five and 10 judges evaluating the posters that students create. She is expecting at least 60 posters to be entered from a minimum of four schools.
The judging will be Monday, November 11, at 10 a.m. in the Residence Life Conference Room of Hemlock Suites at ESU. About a month after the judging is complete, the winners will be announced. Every participant will receive a certificate, and each of the winners will also receive a 12-month calendar featuring their artwork.
For more information, contact Patascher at apatascher@esu.edu or at 570-422-3298.
