While more than 2,000 students applied from colleges and universities across the U.S., Europe, Asia, South America and Africa, Trice is one of about 350 students selected to enroll in this summer internship program. The TFAS program will place Trice with either a newspaper, online publication, magazine, public relations firm, television or radio station in the Washington, D.C. area as part of the experience. Participants will also take academic courses in economics and ethics through George Mason University and attend site briefings, guest lectures featuring working journalists, editors and communication professionals at key Washington institutions. The program will also provide Trice and other students the opportunity to network.
According to their website, the mission of The Fund for American Studies is to “…change the world by developing leaders for a free society.” For more information about the program, visit https://tfas.org/programs/us-programs/.
