ESU Hosts Annual Remembrance Day

Each year, the community comes together to remember those members of  East Stroudsburg University who passed away during the previous academic year This year’s Remembrance Day ceremony, which will be held on Friday, October 16 at 1 p.m. in Lower Dansbury Lounge, will honor 141 students, faculty and staff members, retirees and alumni.

ESU lost four students this academic year. Among the deceased are also a former president, a former member of the council of trustees, and 123 alumni.

The event is open to all members of the university and local communities.

Members of The Warrior Elite student ambassador club will greet attendees. Refreshments will be served after the program.

This will be the university’s eighth Remembrance Day program. For more information, contact Nancy Weaver, assistant to the vice president for student affairs, at 570-422-3461.
