The Office of Residence Life and Housing at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania invites community members to Trick or Treat through residence halls on Wednesday, October 26 at 5 p.m. The event, sponsored by ESU’s Residence Hall Association (RHA), is open to all area children, kindergarten through fifth grade. There is no cost to participate. Children are asked to wear their costumes and bring a trick-or-treat bag.
Trick-or-treaters will meet on the Shawnee Quad, located at the center of campus, at 5 p.m. Parents are required to accompany children to campus and must remain present throughout the course of the event. Groups will be escorted from hall to hall by student volunteers from various campus organizations.
“ESU students are excited to give children in the community a fun and safe place to Trick or Treat again this year,” says Derek G. Hess, resident director of Minsi Hall and RHA adviser. “Participating halls and residents will be handing out treats from their dorm rooms or lobbies.”
The rain date for this event is Thursday, October 27.
RHA is an elected council of students from each residence hall on campus. The organization works toward enhancing residence life for campus residents. For more information contact Hess at dhess6@esu.edu or (570) 422-3620.
