East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce that Teresa Michelle Jones-Wilson, Ph.D., associate professor of chemistry and Elaine M Shuey, Ph.D., professor and chair of communication sciences and disorders, have each been published recently.
Dr. Jones-Wilson published a textbook, “A Solution to Solutions: A Practical Guide to Understanding and Preparing Solutions in Biological Chemistry.” Published by Cognella Academic Publishing, the text provides instructions and examples to complete specific calculations and gives students confidence in their laboratory skills by teaching terminology, concentration units and how to convert units. The text is well-suited to biology, chemistry, and biochemistry laboratory courses at the 200 level and above. “A Solution to Solutions: A Practical Guide to Understanding and Preparing Solutions in Biological Chemistry” can be purchased on Cognella’s website, cognella.com/a-solution-to-solutions.
Dr. Shuey wrote a chapter in the book “Today’s Health Professions: Working Together to Provide Quality Care.” The purpose of the book is to help high school and early college students explore a variety of careers available in healthcare. Each chapter is about a different healthcare profession. Shuey’s chapter, Speech-Language Pathology, like all the others gives facts about the profession including preparation needed for this career path, job availability, work environment and scope of practice. Each chapter also includes a description of what a day in the life of that profession may be like. “Today’s Health Professions: Working Together to Provide Quality Care” was published by FA Davis and is available to purchase on their website, fadavis.com/product/todays-health-professions-royal.
