Bonnie Green, Ph.D., professor of psychology at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, was recently appointed Teaching Chair of the Program Committee for the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA).

EPA was founded in 1896 and is the oldest of the regional psychological associations in the United States. The association works to advance the science and profession through the dissemination of professional information about the field of psychology.

Dr. Green has been involved with EPA for over a decade. She has attended every conference since 2004 and has given close to 20 presentations in the areas of teaching psychology and psychological research. Many of her presentations, posters, and symposia at EPA have been co-authored by undergraduate student researchers and fellow ESU psychology faculty members.

Dr. Green served on EPA’s board of directors for a three-year stint ending in 2014, at which point she was recognized as a Fellow of EPA. This summer the board of directors selected her to serve on the program committee as chair of teaching based on the quality of her scholarship, her commitment to EPA, and her connectedness with the discipline nationwide.

“I am honored to have been selected by the EPA, and I look forward to continuing my work with the association,” Dr. Green said.
