ESU Graduate Mary Ellen McNish, Hunger Project CEO, to Speak on Campus, March 6

Mary Ellen McNish, an East Stroudsburg University alumna and president and CEO of The Hunger Project, will speak at ESU on Thursday, March 6, at 7 p.m. in Beers Lecture Hall.

The Hunger Project is a global, non-profit organization committed to the permanent end of world hunger. McNish, class of 1968, will talk about the core values and mission of The Hunger Project, empowerment and the importance of reaching out and changing people’s lives.

McNish has 35 years of progressive leadership experience in non-profit business settings, including as executive director of development at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and New York Presbyterian Hospital and executive vice president of Planned Parenthood of Maryland. Earlier in her career, she worked as a teacher, parent educator and managed children’s and women’s programs, including spouse abuse prevention, at the YWCA in Camden, N.J.This event is open to the public at no cost.
