Art + Media + Design Students Recognized During Senior Exhibition

East Stroudsburg University’s Madelon Powers Gallery featured a wide range of work such as marketing material, professional websites, graphic design, product design, illustrations, 3D digital models, video reels, photography and paintings of advanced students in the art + media + design department’s Senior Art + Media + Design Exhibition. This was the first exhibition of the newly formed art + media + design department that combined the art + design and digital media technologies departments. The exhibition included promotional media and work produced by graduating seniors in the portfolio class.

At the reception on Sunday, April 23, a total of 18 awards and scholarships were presented. The Christine L. Reilly ’77 Memorial Endowed Scholarship was awarded to Miguel Rodriguez, a senior majoring in digital media technologies, from Easton, Pa. The Ernest E. Rydell Endowed Scholarship was awarded to Chynah Jeffries, a senior majoring in digital media technologies from Harrisburg, Pa. The Digital Media Technologies Endowed Scholarship was awarded to Emelina Kraeutler, a junior majoring in digital media technologies from Effort, Pa., and Austin Durand, a junior majoring in digital media technologies from Palmyra, Pa. The Julianna V. Bolt Endowed Scholarship was awarded to Amia Hicks, a junior majoring in digital media technologies from Conshohocken, Pa. The Dr. Irene Mitchel Three Sisters Endowed Art Scholarship in Memory of Helen Mitchel Stez and Mary Mitchel Kurello was awarded to Rania Tabarez, a junior majoring in integrated art + design from Reading, Pa. and Mikenna Buyze, a sophomore majoring in integrated art + design from East Stroudsburg, Pa. The Jill and Scott McLaren Liztech Scholarship was awarded to Matthew Teada, a sophomore majoring in integrated art + design from Saylorsburg, Pa., and Joseph Kwietniak, a junior majoring in integrated art + design from Albrightsville, Pa. The Cohen Art Scholarship was awarded to Rania Tabarez. Excellence in the Arts Awards were given to Emily Brier, a sophomore majoring in integrated art + design from Stroudsburg, Pa.; Teagan Turrell, sophomore majoring in integrated art + design from Mount Pocono, Pa.; Christina Korekov, junior majoring in integrated art + design from Bushkill, Pa.; Julia Leal Machado, a junior majoring in integrated art + design from Itajai, Brazil; Brooklyn Rajnai, a sophomore majoring in integrated art + design from Stroudsburg, Pa.; Jermaine Boulware, a junior majoring in integrated art + design from Stroudsburg, Pa.; and Melanie Reynoso, a freshman majoring in integrated art + design from Stroudsburg, Pa.
