Madelon Powers Gallery to Present Senior Portfolio in Art + Design Student Exhibition

East Stroudsburg University’s Madelon Powers Gallery will feature a range of work such as marketing material, professional websites, graphic design, product design, illustrations, 3D digital models, and paintings of advanced students in the university art + design department in a Senior Portfolio in Art + Design Student Exhibition April 27 -May 3. The exhibition will include promotional media and work produced by graduating seniors in the portfolio class.

Hours for the gallery, located in the university’s Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets, are Monday – Friday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

A reception for the designers and artists will be held Wednesday, April 27 from 4-6 p.m. in the gallery. Both the exhibit and reception are open to the public at no cost.

At the reception, 14 awards and scholarships will be presented including the Dr. Irene Mitchel Three Sisters Endowed Art Scholarship in memory of Helen Mitchel Stetz and Mary Mitchel Kurello, the Cecilia S. Cohen Award for Excellence in Art History, the Jill and Scott McLaren Liztech Scholarship, the 2022 Excellence in Art Award, and the Sterling and Dorothy Strauser Scholarship.

Students participating in the exhibit include: Jayce Alexander Brady, from Mechanicsburg, Pa.; Erika Lynn Cinquanto, from Douglassville, Pa.; Shaheen Clark, from Scranton, Pa.; Catherine Cowan, from Virginia Beach, Va.; Miranda D. Davis from Bushkill, Pa.; Amber Adele Doherty, from Matamoras, Pa.; Jillian Golardi, from Stroudsburg, Pa.; Mark Hall, from East Stroudsburg, Pa.; James Nelson Holloway, from Damascus, Pa.; Madison Rose Jorritsma, from Milford, Pa.; Samual L Miller, from Emmaus, Pa.; Maria Blessing Ostrowski, from Saylorsville, Pa., Patricia Dawn Rosamilia, from Belvidere, N.J.; Nia Skeet, from Stroudsburg, Pa.; Nicholas Ray Tuche, from East Stroudsburg, Pa.; Anastasia Veloudos, from Tobyhanna, Pa.; Jessica Patterson Watts, from New Paltz, N.Y.; David Ernest Weiss, from Brick, N.J.; Janell Christina Wilson-Bey, from Melrose Park, Pa.; and Daniel Michael Zimmerman, from Wharton, N.J.

During the same time, there will be an additional art exhibition located in the gallery’s mezzanine curated by Conrad L. Richebacher, a senior majoring in art + design from Roseto, Pa. The exhibition will be a showcase of the ceramic art by Wesley Brown, ESU art + design’s Frederick Douglass Scholar; Golardi; and Richebacher.
