New Office Hours For ESU Office of Admission
Beginning Tuesday, September 2, 2014 the Office of Admission will have new standard office hours, and be open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday and Saturday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Please direct any inquiring students or prospective students to the Office of Admission in the Reibman Administration Building. They may also call 570-422-3542. Additional information about campus visit opportunities and Fall 2014 Open House programs is located on the web page at: www.esu.edu/admissionevents.

Student Trustee Information Session: ESU’s Council of Trustees and the Office of the President are currently seeking applications for the position of STUDENT TRUSTEE, the highest level of student service available. Each applicant must be a full-time, first or second semester sophomore in good academic standing with a 2.5 minimum quality point average. The current student trustee will hold an information session about the position on September 9 from 3:00 – 4:00 PM in the President’s Boardroom, Reibman Administration Bldg. All are welcome.

Student Trustee Applications: Eligible students who are interested in the position of Student Trustee must submit an application and two letters of recommendation no later than September 15, 2014. Applications are available in the President’s Office, 204 Reibman Administration Building or online at http://www4.esu.edu/about/ administration/president/council_of_trustees_application.cfm. Annual 2014 Distinguished Professor Awards, 2:00 PM September 2, in Abeloff Center for the Performing Arts. The awards will be presented during an all-university meeting to Caroline Kuchinski, Ph.D., professor of physical education, and S. Elaine Rogers, D. Ed., professor of recreation services management. Latino Heritage Month Second Annual Film Festival, September 13 – September 21 in Beers Lecture Hall. The best of contemporary 2013 and 2014 feature films and documentaries from Spain, Latin America, and the United States will be shown. The public is invited at no cost. Some films are for mature audiences only. Parking is free, except for metered spaces. Musicians who Play Band Instruments are Welcome to Join the East Stroudsburg University/Community Concert Band as it Prepares for its December 7 Concert. Rehearsals are on Mondays from 7-9 p.m. resuming Sept. 8 in the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall of Fine and Performing Arts Center. Anyone 16 or older is welcome to join no later than Monday, September 22. Members are expected to have previous band experience. There is no membership fee. Auditions for Seussical, will be held Tuesday, September 2, 7:00 – 8:30 PM & Wed., September 3, 6:00 – 7:00 PM in the Smith- McFarland Theatre of the Fine & Performing Arts Center. Please sign up for an audition time on the sign up sheet in the lobby of the FAC. Bring 1 (memorized) up-beat Musical Theatre Song to the audition (with sheet music in the key that you are singing it). The story of the show can be found online at www.mtishows.com – The musical score can be seen online if you enter Seussical score pdf. You can use a song from the show to audition. Musicians are Invited to Join the East Stroudsburg University/ Community Orchestra as it Prepares for its Fall Concert on Wednesday, November 19. Rehearsal and take place every Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Cecilia S. Cohen Recital Hall of the Fine & Performing Arts Center. No audition or membership fee is required. Kemp Library

The Curriculum Materials Center, located on the ground floor at Kemp Library, supports East Stroudsburg University’s teacher education curriculum with an organized collection of current and high quality educational materials created for use with children from preschool through grade 12 (secondary education). It includes, but is not limited to, textbooks, curriculum guides, children’s and young adult literature, educational tests and measures, posters, science kits, models and ancillary instructional materials. Lamination services and letter cut die machines are also available at NO cost!

Professors may request a visit to their classroom in order to inform students about the ample resources the CMC has to offer or reserve the CMC for classroom instruction. Please contact Mary Rodriguez at 570-422-3160 for further information or questions.
