The Dale and Frances Hughes Cancer Center and East Stroudsburg University kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the 17th Annual Pink Light Walk

This year’s Pink Light Walk is organized by the Dale and Frances Hughes Cancer Center’s Breast Health Nurse Navigator, Lutchana Beckford, ESU Health Studies Instructor Alyson Patascher, a committee from both organizations, and other members from the community. “As a long-standing tradition for LVH-Pocono, the walk serves as a movement to unite those of the community battling breast cancer, survivors of breast cancer, or those interested in supporting breast cancer awareness to walk in unison,” said Beckford.

Career and Workforce Development WEDnetPA- ESU to Allocate $298,424 in Training Grants to Businesses

The WEDnetPA Program provides qualified companies with funds to train their employees in Essential Skills up to $450 per eligible employee and in Advanced Technology Skills up to $850 per eligible employee. Companies may qualify for a total of $75,000 for Essential Skills Training and $50,000 for Advanced Technology Training.

Observatory Welcomes All to View Saturn and the Moon

The Physics Department and the Society of Physics Students at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania will hold an open house at the university observatory to view the moon and Saturn on Friday, September 29 from 7:30-8:30 p.m., weather permitting.
