East Stroudsburg University’s College of Business and Management shared updates on projects and initiatives that will shape the upcoming academic year.

EPIC

A new partnership with Ascent Funding will significantly expand the reach and impact of the university’s EPIC (Education for Preparedness, Innovation, and Career-readiness) program beginning this summer. This collaboration introduces a new asynchronous EPIC project model designed to deliver scalable, high-quality, real-world learning experiences to ESU students. At the core of this initiative is a structured, fully remote internship framework developed in collaboration with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and AscentUP. This model enables students to participate in impactful career-relevant projects regardless of geographic location or scheduling constraints, removing traditional barriers to experiential learning.

Crayola Executive Lecture Series

The Crayola Executive Lecture Series has been renewed for a three-year term with Crayola Crayon LLC. This continued partnership reflects a shared dedication to enriching student learning through direct engagement with top business leaders. The Crayola Executive Lecture Series has become a cornerstone program for the College of Business and Management, offering students unique access to C-suite executives from a wide range of industries. Through candid conversations, keynote presentations, and interactive sessions, students gain firsthand insight into leadership, innovation, and the evolving global business landscape. The upcoming season will launch this September with a keynote address from Crayola CEO Pete Ruggerio.

SAS

COBM received approval of its second SAS Tier 3 Academic Specialization, aligned with the university’s Hospitality, Recreation, and Tourism Management (HRTM) Data Analytics minor.

As the global economy becomes increasingly data-driven, ESU continues to respond with forward-thinking programs that integrate industry partnerships and real-world application into the curriculum.

Workforce Policy Fellowship

Sylvester E. Williams, Dean of the College of Business and Management, has successfully completed the Policy & Advocacy Fellowship Program (PAFP) through the Pennsylvania Workforce Development Association. The insights and skills gained through the fellowship will further enhance ESU’s efforts to engage with policymakers, contribute to statewide workforce strategies, and ensure that students are equipped with the knowledge and competencies needed to succeed in a dynamic labor market.
